Fun, relaxed, sociable
Every week we attract a fantastic crowd of novice and experienced artists alike and it's a really great vibe.
Loads of room for everyone
Our Covent Garden venue is LARGE with plenty of easels and comfy chairs. We can accommodate 50+ artists, so whilst we're very popular, there's always room if you'd like to come along.
Two models every time
We have a male and female model every session and the space is organised so you have a real choice of whom to draw. We employ a wide range of fantastic models - artists often comment on the quality and a round of applause at the end of the session is not uncommon!
Chilled out and friendly group
Everybody comments on what a great atmosphere there is. It's friendly, relaxed and sociable, and there's a warm welcome for newcomers. There's a great buzz during our tea break and a sizeable crowd often gathers in the pub afterwards.
All abilities welcome
Many of our artists are complete novices, some haven't done it for a while, and some are very experienced. Everyone just does their own thing, it's all very relaxed.
We start with 2 minute poses, then two different 20 minute poses, then a 45 minute pose to finish.
Easels, chairs, boards, etc.
Like working at an easel? No problem we've got plenty all with A1 boards. Prefer to sit? There are loads of comfy seats and A3 drawing boards to draw on your lap. And if you want to mix it up, move around, that's fine too.
Drawing materials on sale
Sketchbooks, A1 and A3 paper, charcoal, pencils and erasers are all available for sale on the night. Or if you've got your own art kit, bring it along!
Formerly known as Holborn Life Drawing
The group began life in Holborn and for years was known as Holborn Life Drawing. Just in case you were wondering!
